Chiclayo – Huaca Rajada – Museo Tumbas Reales (-)
Delight the breathtaking Museum of the Royal Tombs of Sipán!
Arrival in Chiclayo by bus or plane and transfer to your hotel.
You will start this tour with a visit to the archeological site of Huaca Rajada, the original tomb of the Lord of Sipan. Our next destination is Tumbas Reales. This museum shows a great collection with many (golden) objects that were found in the original tomb from the Lord of Sipan.

Museo Sican – Bosque de Pomac – Tucume– Brunning (B)
Enjoy the cultural diversity given by pre-Inca civilizations settled in the northern regions.
The archeological tour starts with a visit to the Museum of Sican. This museum shows a great collection with (golden) objects which were found in Bosque Pomac. From the museum you will visit the dry tropical forest of Bosque de Pomac (Batan Grande). During a small hike you will be able to see different bird species, typical to this area. Visit to the excavations in Huaca Ventanas before heading to the adobe pyramids/ ruins and ceremonial plateaus of Tucume.
In Tucume you visit the site museum and the look out to see the Capital of the Lambayeque Culute (800-1450AD).
At the end of the afternoon you visit the Bruning Museum. This museum includes a very complete collection about the history of the surroundings of Lambayeque. detailed textile, ceramics, golden objects and jewelry from the different cultures. Also the excavations of the Lady of Chornacap are shown here.

Delight the mummies of the ancient wise men!
The Sarcofagos de Karajia are 7 monumental coffins of about 2.5m high. They are decorated with geometric figures and contain mummies, ceramics and other objects that were given to the death for their journey in the afterlife.
This tour is often combined with a visit to the stalagmites and stalactites from Quiocta, one of the biggest cave systems of Peru.

Chachapoyas – Kuelap (B)
Discover the dreamlike cloud forest that Kuelap is surrounded for!
The archeological site of Kuelap is built on top of a mountain (3000m) and used to be the capital of the Chachapoyas culture. Most of its rustic high walls and buildings are still covered with lush vegetation, including bromelias and orchids. Access is by cablecar, which permits you in 25 min. to absorb the tremendous landschape.

Uncovering the Peruvian Treasures!
The tombs of Revash are cut out of the rock wall and painted with typical motives from the Chachapoyas. After arriving in Lemeybamba, you will bring a visit to the local museum. This museum shows a colleccion, with more than a 1000 objects and 200 mummy’s that were partly found in Laguna de los condores.

Cajamarca – Cumbemayo – City Tour (B)
Be impressed by the ancient aqueducts of Cumbe Mayo that continue to baffling archaeologists!
In the morning you will visit the rock formations of Cumbemayo. It is said that the pre-Inca civilization (Caxamarca) already 1000 B.C. constructed a channel from this location to the town of Cajamarca.
Cajamarca is the town where the official defeat of the Inca’s by the Spanish begun with the capture of the Inca ruler Atahualpa.
During the city tour you will pass by: Plaza de Armas, Iglesia San Francisco, Cuarto de Rescate, Complejo Belen, with museo etnografico and the Mirador (look-out) of Santa Apolonia.

Today starts with visiting the archeological site of Las Huacas del Sol y la Luna (tombs of the sun and the moon). This are remains of gigantic tombs/ temples from the Moche culture (100-700 AC). Several structures on this site are still decorated with well conserved paintings on the walls. These paintings/ murals, together with the many beautiful decorated golden and ceramic objects that have been found on this archeological site can be seen in the onsite museum. Lunch is in the fishermen’s town of Huanchaco (On your own). After lunch you will visit the famous archeological site of Chan Chan. The tour includes visiting two of the most impressive structures on this site: Huaca Arco Iris and Palacio Nik-An which shows different nature, bird and fish motives on its adobe walls.
