Cusco City – Limatambo – Chonta Village (BL, D)
Enjoy seeing the majestic and largest flying bird in the world!
We begin with pick-up from the lobby of your hotel in Cusco at 8.30 am, where we will transfer to Limatambo, crossing the highlands of Anta. You will descend into the valley of Limatambo, after traversing the overpass of Willque. Here, you will enjoy amazing views of Salkantay mountain, the second highest and one of the most beautiful in the region (6,272m).
Close to the city of Limatambo, you will take a dirt road up finally arriving at Chonta. Along this section, you will get the opportunity to observe local birds while admiring the incredible scenery as you reach the canyon so please have your cameras ready for this part of the tour. Upon your arrival, you will walk downhill for a short period towards the main viewpoint where you will enjoy a packed box lunch. You will remain here for around 2 hours observing the wilderness and admiring the condors as they fly high over the Andes. You will then return to Chonta, transferring into the Andean Spirit Lodge where you can relax and enjoy the lodge´s premises.
You may enjoy the fire in the lounge area after a delicious vegetarian dinner.

Delight with the beauty of the snow-capped Humantay mountain!
We recommend that you get up early to enjoy the amazing views of the snow-capped mountain Humantay. Mornings are not to be missed here, immersed in nature, including the morning activities, walks around nearby trails, bird watching, Yoga, and Meditation classes (are all optional).
After a delicious breakfast, you will return to Cusco. Along the way, you will visit the mystic temple of Killarumiyoq where you will enjoy a final packed box lunch.
